Space

So what is Space?

When you look up at the clear night sky you are looking into space, its dark and big.  How big is Space? well nobody really knows how big Space is because it reaches far beyond what we can see or travel.  But Space is not empty, it contains planets , stars, moons , galaxies, comets, gas and many many more items.

Planet Earth

Before we get into Space lets start with planet Earth, the third planet from the sun in our solar system which happens to be the most important planet of all because it is where you live.  Rich in minerals and the perfect distance from the sun for live to inhabit.  If you headed directly upwards you would have to  travel 62 miles to reach outer space.
