Uranus is the Seventh planet from the sun and is known as the sideways planet because it rotates on its side. Uranus is the third largest planet in our solar system and appears as blue - green in colour.

History

Uranus is believed to be around 4,503 Billion years old, named after the Greek God Sky and is the only Planet to be named after a Greek God of the Sky. It was first discovered in 1781 by William Herschel who first observed Uranus but didn't think it was a planet but rather a comet because it was moving to fast.
